THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

THANK_YOU.jpg

What a busy term we have had with so many great events and activities happening at school for our students and families! From NAIDOC Week, Kindergarten 2026 interviews, Book Week, Grandparents Day, Peer Support, Confirmation, Sport gala days, Father’s Day, Writing, $20 Boss to Dance Eisteddfod and everything in between we have achieved many things. We thank families for your contributions and attendance and staff for providing the wonderful opportunities to engage. We wish all families a safe and happy school break and look forward to seeing you all again in two weeks.

UNIFORM REMINDERS FOR HOLIDAYS

pngtree_important_notice_design_free_png_png_image_4109984.png

We have reminded students across the school of our uniform expectations as we have seen some haircuts and accessories that are not in keeping with our policy. If your child is having a haircut during the holidays, please make sure they are appropriate for our school. If your child asks for a style that is outside of this, please explain why this will not be allowed to avoid being asked to correct it later with additional costs. Our policy states no extreme hair cuts which is consistent with our other parish schools that include undercuts, mullets, tracks or lines, skin fades, rats tails and dramatic layered effects. Additional accessories for boys or girls that are not simple studs or sleepers, medical bracelets, signet rings or small crosses on a necklace are not to be worn at school. Hair accessories are to be only school colours.

PBS CHANGES - LUNCH 1 SWAP

SCHOOL_LUNCH.jpg

During recent reviews of our behaviour guidelines, staff reflected on how lunchtime structures affect learning time. Our current practice is to have Lunch 1 as eating time followed by play time, while Lunch 2 starts with play and ends with eating. The purpose of play time first is to allow for movement then settle students back into learning with seated eating time, which has been successful. We would like to trial the same structure during Term 4 for Lunch and gather data on whether this affects the way in which students enter into the classroom for learning. The lunch times remain the same across the day and students will still have a morning break with Crunch and Sip.

MISSION

TELL THEM FROM ME PARENT SURVEY

YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS

Thank you to the 150 parents and carers who took part in our recent Tell Them From Me survey. Your honest feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our school community. Each week this term we will share some feedback from the data collated.

SCHOOL COMMUNITY GROUP (SCG)

Parent_Community_Group_T4_2025_1_.jpg

The SCG is a welcoming way for families to be involved in school life. Open to all parents and carers, the group meets once a Term to share updates, provide feedback, and strengthen the connection between home, school, and parish.

Meetings include a short 5-minute parent learning session, and agenda items should be submitted beforehand. This year, the SCG will gather feedback on St Peter’s events and form a parent team to support the “delay smartphones until age 16” initiative. Every parent’s voice matters—add your agenda items via the Google document below.

QUICK TIPS FOR CALM AND HAPPY MORNINGS

Kids with ADHD often thrive when they know what to expect. Visual schedules or checklists can be especially helpful—they give children something to follow without constant reminders. Routines reduce stress, keep kids on track, and create a sense of security. The more consistent the routine, the easier it becomes for them to succeed. Check out these tips from Maggie Dent—they’re not only great for children with ADHD, but for neurotypical kids too.
