HARPER ROWLATT, YOU STAR !!
Harper Rowlatt this week played at the NSWCPS Golf Championships in Sydney and shot a PB, she also won gold, and will now play in the NSWPSSA Golf Championships later in the year. Congratulations Harper.
REGIONAL NETBALL FINALS
Our Netball Team played very well at the Regional Finals. The competition was very tough, but our girls held their own in a very tough draw. Congratulations to our team on reaching the Regional Finals level.
HASTINGS ZONE GALA DAY
After the huge amounts of rain, the Hastings Zone Gala Day (Soccer and Netball) went ahead on Wednesday. It was another amazing day of Peter’s Sports. Our Boys Soccer Team won the day. Our Girls Soccer Team finished 2nd, and our A Team Netball Team won the day.
Our Netball and Boys Soccer Team will now travel to Grafton in Week 10 for the Lismore Diocese Finals.
TOUCH FOOTBALL GALA DAY
YEARS 3 AND 4
All Year 3 and 4 students have been learning the skills of Touch Football in the lead up to their Gala Day on Wednesday, September 3. It has been fantastic to see so many students having a wonderful time as they learn a new set of skills.
RUGBY LEAGUE TRIALLING
Our Rugby League Trials commenced this week, and it was great to see a large number of students getting out and active. On both days, I heard Mr Baird, Mr Bright, Mr Rowlatt and Mr Duffy, who are the coaches of the two teams, give advice and tips on how individual students could improve their skill level. Trials will continue next week. The Year 3-4 trial next week will not be on Wednesday due to a Touch Gala Day. I will notify athletes of the alternate day asap.

LISMORE DIOCESE ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
A huge day on the athletics track this week with a large number of St Peter’s students competing at the Lismore diocese Athletics Championships in Coffs Harbour. I don’t have final individual results as yet, but we have many students who have made the Lismore Diocese Athletics Team. The Hastings Zone also won the Paddy Dent Shield.

ELECTIVE SPORTS
TERM 4
In early Term 4, Years 1-6 will kick off their elective sports program. This will be a 4-week program and will include paid sports and a free sport at and outside of school.
Next week, we will have the details and cost of each paid sport (there is also a free of charge sport) and the process to register for a particular sport. The Elective Sports Program is compulsory for all students in Years 1-6.
The details of each activity are as follows:
Years 1 and 2 Elective Sports options
- Springloaded- Activities will include structured activities such as Tramp, Tumbling and Parkour
- Kumaru Martial Arts- Fitness- high and low energy sessions
- PCYC- The sessions will focus on Gymnastics and will be at the PCYC.
- School Sport- several school-based sports. This is our free-of-charge sport
Years 3 and 4 Elective Sports options
- Springloaded- Activities will include structured activities such as Tramp, Tumbling and Parkour
- Ten Pin Bowling- A round of bowling.
- F45- Classes are designed to be fun, positive and engaging, focusing on functional fitness activities, gaining new skills, improving coordination, building strength, and developing resilience and confidence.
- Hydro Golf and Putt Putt- a game of putt putt, plus a bucket of golf balls for Hydro Golf
- PCYC- The sessions will focus on Gymnastics and will be at the PCYC.
- School Sport- several school-based sports. This is our free-of-charge sport.
Years 5 and 6 Elective Sports options
- Springloaded- Activities will include structured activities such as Tramp, Tumbling and Parkour
- Ten Pin Bowling- A round of bowling.
- F45- Classes are designed to be fun, positive and engaging, focusing on functional fitness activities, gaining new skills, improving coordination, building strength, and developing resilience and confidence.
- Learn to Surf Classes- This sport will be booked before the Elective Sports go online. This sport is only open to Year 6 at this stage. Nomination forms must be returned to the Office by Tuesday 2nd September, Week 7. If Year 6 student nominations go over the required amount, we will draw a specific number of students out of a hat. If we require more numbers, we will ask Year 5 students.
- Centre of Gravity and Planet Skate- Three weeks of rock climbing and laser tag, with one week of roller skating.
- School Sport- several school-based sports. This is our free-of-charge sport.
