REPORTS AND PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
At the end of Week 9, Semester 1 student reports will be available on Compass. These reports will give parents and carers a summary of students’ achievements and goals. Parents and carers have access through Compass currently to book a time to meet with their child/rens’ teacher. Please note: some classes have different interview weeks due to some teachers being away during Week 10. Parents and carers should ensure they add the correct date of interview to their calendar so they don’t arrive on the wrong date. Due to 3 Green interviews being held next week, reports for students in 3 Green will be sent home today with students.
KINDERGARTEN ENROLMENTS 2026
Round 1 applications for Kindergarten 2026 have been reviewed by St Agnes’ Parish Principals to assess numbers and address any out of zone requests. Communication to families seeking enrolment from Round 1, will be sent via email in the next week.
ATHLETICS THANKS
I would like to acknowledge the wonderful work of Mr Arkinstall and our school staff for enabling students and families to enjoy Athletics trials for all students, particularly finding a creative way to do this when we were unable to do this as a whole school. It was so heartening to see families supporting their students across the past week and there were many lovely stories of students and staff celebrating all success. Thank you to all involved and all families who visited.

ST PETER'S FEAST DAY
Next Friday 20th June, we’re excited to celebrate our School’s Feast Day, honoring Saint Peter, one of Jesus’ most devoted and courageous disciples! The day will start with a community Mass at 9:30am, followed by open classrooms and a BYO picnic lunch — we warmly invite families to come along and share this special moment with their children.
Saint Peter lived a life full of faith, love, and service, and his example inspires us all. As we celebrate him, we’re encouraged to reflect on how we can follow in his footsteps — by showing love, staying true to our beliefs, and lifting up those around us each day.

PARENT ASSEMBLY 'THRIVE' CONFERENCE RECAP
Last weekend the Diocese of Lismore Parent Assembly Committee hosted their annual conference for diocese parents and carers. This year's theme was "Thrive in 2025" and included speakers Maggie Dent, Brad Marshall and Angela Lockwood. A packed conference room engaged in powerful, expert and grounded presentations relevant to supporting our children to thrive in current times. An exceptional, valuable and fun event and was wonderfully supported by our St Peter's Primary community!
Further information and resources from each speaker are available through their websites:

MAGGIE DENT MOMENT
Maggie Dent explains that firm boundaries held in place are good for our kids. Secure attachment with a child means they can handle the word "no" and handle the boundaries we set as parents and carers. Model firm, fair and love in equal measures and don't be afraid to hold the line when it's required...you've got this!

Leader of Pedagogy
This Friday, 27th June, we will celebrate St Peter’s Feast Day. To honor his inspiring example, our fortnightly PBS focus for Weeks 9 and 10 will be “Being Like Jesus.”
St Peter was a devoted follower who lived his faith fully. He generously shared his gifts and encouraged many others to believe, becoming a true role model for all.
Over the next two weeks, we will be encouraging our students to embody these same values. Teachers will be on the lookout for shining examples of kindness, faith, and leadership to celebrate through our class PBS awards.
Let’s all strive to be more like Jesus, just as St Peter did!

ALL SCHOOLS NETBALL - LOCAL GALA DAY

Our 2 Netball Teams were outstanding this week at the All Schools Netball. Mrs Goldie and I were very fortunate to witness the two teams in action, and it was wonderful to see both teams supporting each other on and off the court, and as always, all athletes displayed their PBS values. Our teams finished 1st and 3rd, and our Team 1 will now play in the All Schools Regional Finals on Tuesday, 26th August 2025 in Port Macquarie.

STAFF STORYTIME
For the duration of Term 2, every Monday during Lunch 2, our library transforms into a cosy storytelling haven where stories come to life!
This week, our amazing Leader of Pedagogy, Mrs Baywood delighted students with two beautiful tales, Grandad’s Teeth by Rod Clement, a humorous mystery that follows the search for Grandad’s missing false teeth in the lead-up to his impending birthday party; and Letters from Felix: a little rabbit on a world tour by Annette Langen, an interactive storybook which follows the adventures of Sophie’s missing toy rabbit, “Felix” as he travels the world.
This coming Monday, we are so excited to have one of our lovely Year 2 teachers, Mrs Kipreotis, sharing some of her favourite stories! All students are warmly invited to join us each week in the library.

During the day, each student at St Peter’s will be able to attend one of three interactive sessions where they will get to meet the authors; hear about their stories and the characters; the inspiration behind their stories and also receive some tips and guidance about how our students can create their very own characters and stories.
